Sometime in mid 2017 an idea came up during  an informal  chat amongst some veterans to create a Think Tank in Lucknow which could  not only provide a platform to the veteran fraternity  to harness their collective experience and expertise in a variety of  areas but also  give them an opportunity  to think, debate, discuss and come out with practical and implementable ideas and views on contemporary  issues which may or may not be in line with the prevailing narrative on the subject and subsequently share these  with the environment where needed.

Slowly the idea of such a think tank started taking shape and a Society was formed and named STRIVE which is basically an acronym for Society for Transformative Research, Integration and Veteran Empowerment.

Apart from issues pertaining to National Security the military veterans have immense knowledge and hands on experience on subjects related to nation building and crisis management. It was therefore rightly felt that this huge reservoir of knowledge and experience must get shared with the Society at large as a payback obligation by the veterans to the Nation.

STRIVE now is a fully  functional  entity which is engaging in regular debates, discussions and Webinars on numerous subjects mostly related with National  security and nation building.
