Maj Gen KS Randhir Sinh, moves on.
Maj Gen KS Randhir Sinh UYSM, AVSM, SM, a second-generation Gorkha officer has moved on.
A fine soldier and a forthright officer, he was one of the few who fitted the adage of ‘an officer and a gentleman’ to a T.
Authored a couple of books post-retirement including the biography of Gen Sagat Singh. An alumni of Mayo College he leaves behind a legacy of soldering with honour and pride.
My humble ode to a dear friend and a gentle soul.
You moved on to write the last chapter …
In a better world with plenty of time.
But remember your book is left behind.
With the spark of your pen in every line.
Ethics and judgements in poetry and prose.
You found your values in the life you chose.
Gentleman you were to the core we know.
But the officer in you that today we bow.
You left a legacy of soldiering and more.
That may become the tales of yore.
Rest in peace Randhir
You will be missed
