सात दशक और पांच वर्ष
अब पूर्ण हुए आज़ादी के
देशभक्त दीवानो की
आहुति से बनी समाधि के
पूर्ण विराम पर रुकी हुई,
भारत की शौर्य कहानी थी
कुछ अपनी कमज़ोरी थी
कुछ अपनी ही नादानी थी
आग जली थी कई दिनों तक
नालँदा के प्राँगण में
ज्ञानकोश सब ध्वंस हुआ था
राख गिरी थी कण कण में
भारत की मर्यादा पर
कई बार संघात हुआ
शांतऔर समृद्ध देश ने
यवनों का आघात सहा
फिर आयी पश्चिम से आँधी
उड़ा ले गयी भारत को
कुचल दिया उसने हम सबकी
मर्यादा और ग़ैरत को
दो सदियों तक बंधे रहे हम
शर्मनाक ज़ंजीरों में
चिंतित भारत जूझ रहा था
किस्मत की लिखी लकीरों में
पर वो सब तो इतिहास बन चुका
जागो हे भारत विशाल
अब समय आ गया है रचने का
नया देश और नया काल
तकनीक तुम्हारे हाथों में
विज्ञान तुम्हारे कदमों पर
क्या मार्ग चुनोगे तुम आगे
तुम पर है सब कुछ निर्भर
कृति निश्चय हो अब कर्म करो
शंकाओं को करो परे
पर न क्षमा करना उसको
जो देश द्रोह की बात करे
देश तुम्हारे साथ खड़ा है
संकल्प लिये और शीश उठा
आदेश करो हे विश्व श्रेष्ठ
नव भारत है अब जाग उठा

Author – Maj Gen Abhi Parmar VSM (Retd), was commissioned in Infantry (The Rajput Regiment) from IMA in Dec 1969. He has served in Deserts, J & K, Sikkim, and NE and also on various appointments in different Formation HQs and Training Establishments. He was Director-General Indian Golf Union (2009 – 2014). He is Chairman, “STRIVE”, Think Tank, after retirement and pursuing his hobbies, Golf, traveling, and writing.

This is another excellent addition to poems coming from your pen.I have preserved the previous one written in English,and with your permission ,Modified it a bit to pay homage to our younger brother who left us untimely after a very brave struggle with blood cancer.
The present Poem in Hindi truly depicts the History of our Great Nation in a a few lines and exhorts All of us to move forward to Make India Great.Please keep writing.
